For residents of the countries in the European Economic Area (EU countries + Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland, a national passport or ID will suffice. Workers from outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland must have in addition to their national passport, a residence permit and a work permit for the EEA country where they usually work, valid for at least the entire duration of their posting to the Netherlands.
